President

Kristie brings over 15 years of education and business experience to 1st Fruits Consulting.  Kristie’s experience in higher education has helped many colleges and universities across the United States identify and hire high quality candidates in Admissions, Financial Aid, Career Services and Academics.  Using her knowledge, Kristie has successfully placed Provosts, Vice Presidents of Admissions, and Directors of various departments for schools across the United States.  Kristie earned her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Phoenix and her Bachelors of Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
 

Mike Calvin
Vice President of Operations

Before joining 1^st Fruits, Mike was involved in staffing and recruiting for 10 years working in the areas of Engineering, Telecom, and Information Technology.  Throughout his experience, Mike has focused on improving the quality of personnel presented to clients and has developed the methodology that 1^st Fruits uses to understand the qualities and traits client’s seek in each position then match candidates to those traits.  The successful result has been to find the right “fit” between employers and employees.  Mike holds a Bachelors degree in History from Point Loma Nazarene University and is a graduate of the Greater Orlando Leadership Foundation class of 2004.
 

Teresa Stephens
Recruiter

Teresa began working with 1^st Fruits Consulting in 2004 and has taken responsibility for managing the relationship with the Jobs Partnership.  Teresa worked eight years for Orlando Regional Healthcare System in the Patient Financial Services Department handling customer service issues.  While with ORHS, Teresa was responsible for developing a process improvement plan that helped significantly improve the efficiencies of two different departments.  Teresa enjoys celebrating successful placements with our clients and especially seeing the success of the graduates in the Jobs Partnership program.

 
Chad Spence
Recruiter

Chad has successfully placed Webmasters, Territory Salespeople, Marketing Managers, and others in various companies since starting with 1^st Fruits Consulting in 2005.  Hiring managers typically enjoy working with Chad because they know that he is working diligently in their best interests.  Before coming to 1^st Fruits, Chad has held jobs in areas of Naval Nuclear Propulsion, Theatre Management and Training, and Sales.
 

Valerie Bergeron
Research Recruiter

Valerie brings a technical background to 1^st Fruits Consulting after having spent the last five years providing technical training and support for a software company.  Valerie loves helping people and has found a great niche in recruiting where she can help match prospective candidates with clients.  Valerie is A+ and Network+ certified and obtained her MCP.  She completed her Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Kutztown University.

Ronald J. Wilensky, MBA
Associate Recruiter

Ron has 36 years experience helping people and organizations reach their potential. Ron adds his expertise to clients of 1st Fruits Consulting in the areas of coach, mentor and behavioral coach for executives and high potential leaders.  He served as Senior Vice President Human Resources-Marriott Vacation Club International, Vice President Employee Relations-Marriott International, Inc., Vice President Human Resources-Avis Rent a Car and Director Human Resources-Hertz Corporation.  Ron currently serves on the board of directors for Pathway Homes, Inc.  Ron holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, has completed Initial Certification in the Goldsmith Coaching Process and graduated from the Strategic Human Resources Management Program at the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.

Joan Ziegler, MBA
Director of Business Development

Joan Ziegler joined 1st Fruits Consulting in 2008 as Director of Business Development.  Joan’s primary responsibility is to build personal relationships with our clients and develop new business opportunities for 1st Fruits.  Joan spent 20 years with Hallmark Cards Corporate managing Training, District and Regional Sales, and Call Centers for some of their largest customers.  In 2007 she completed her MBA from the University of Central Florida.  She lives by this motto: “Every single day to use my talents and skills to contribute to something much bigger than me which will go on forever and make an enduring difference.”  Joan feels that the level of personal care, professionalism, and integrity is what makes 1st Fruits Consulting such a unique standout and she would welcome learning about your recruiting needs.
